DJ Jae Youn

DJ Vincent “The Llama” Lam has been dancing tango for ten years and spinning tunes in the Pacific Northwest for the past five. He was a well kept northwestern secret, but good things cannot be hidden and once organizers heard his music, he began trekking east and has been found DJing at various festivals, encuentros and marathons in Chicago, Newport News, Chapel Hill and Santa Fe!
Vincent favors traditional tangos mixing his tunes with a sense of fun and romance. He enjoys photography and travel, but of course, all revolving around tango!
Jae, an accomplished dancer and an effective teacher and organizer, is a well sought out DJ in the Southeast area. She has been invited to DJ at various events including the Chicago Mini Tango Festival and Charlotte’s Candlelight Tango Festival, recently adding Italy to the list. Having a music library that focuses on the traditional tango masters, she expertly selects her tandas to provide an energetic environment, keeping dancers on the floor moving with enthusiasm.
Michelle McRuiz has been a tango DJ for seven years, a tanguera for 11, and a dancer for as long as she can remember. She DJs traditional milongas and practicas regularly in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Her DJing philosophy is simple: Play beautiful, danceable Golden-Age music that keeps dancers on the floor. Michelle has DJ'd at the Albuquerque Tango Festival; the Las Puertas Tango Marathon; the Austin Spring Tango Festival; the Tucson Tango Festival; the Cambridge Festivalito in the UK (2015 and 2016); the Casa Tango Milonguero Weekend in Salida, Colorado; and various and sundry milongas in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tulsa, and Cambridge.
